Letter from Jeff Glass, 2022 FCA President

Hello and I want to welcome you to Flagstone Community Association. We are a voluntary homeowners association with a board of directors who serve on a volunteer basis. I can speak for our 2022 board that we are dedicated to our success and your involvement with our community.

My family has lived in the Flagstone Subdivision for 29 years and my wife and I served on the board as VP’s of the pool for 3 years in the past. We recently took over updating the front entrance with new signs and flood lights last year. We felt like anything we could do the entrance would improve the look of our community subdivision.

Our goal for the FCA is to protect our home values, promote community events, and to preserve mutual respect for each homeowner/member of your association. Now that the CDC has lifted the facemask mandate are looking to get move new events planned to increase the values of our community involvement.

Our association is not an owners’ dispute mediator, complaint department, law enforcement agency, small claims court or “watch dog” committee. We are not rule enforcers because we do not have the authority to enforce the subdivision covenants, AND that is not wah we are about. However, we encourage everyone to treat each other with respect.

Our chapter and bylaws were written by the develop of FCA over 30 years ago. He set it up as a voluntary homeowner’s association. If we want to change that, it will require a majority vote of all the homes in our subdivision. I invite you to join our association, General Membership is $100 and pool memberships are $275 per year for returning members and $300 for NEW 1st year members... It is money well spent for on upgrades and maintenance and many other benefits for our community. Residents who join FCA are also give access to our private Facebook page, Flagstone Community Association. This page is restricted to dues paying members who agree to follow the rules and answer the questions posted before an admin let them join the page. Our Board like I mentioned at the top is totally volunteer and we welcome volunteers to step up to help on any suggestions.

The restrictions shall be in full force and in effect for a thirty(30) year period from date and thereafter for successive ten (10) year period, unless a majority of lot owners vote at the end of such period to terminate or amend said restrictions.” (FCA charter, December 1991)

My email address is listed on the “contact us” section of our website and I look forward to meeting everyone at the open house pool party/membership drive.

Best Regards, Jeff Glass
