Hello and welcome to Flagstone Community Association. We are a voluntary home owners association.
My family joined as a general member when we moved in to help upkeep the front entrance because it increases my property value. We have lived here for over 7 years. I got involved in FCA leadership a little over 4 years ago. I first served as secretary for 2 terms before I was asked to consider serving as the president.
Our goal in FCA is to protect our home values, promote community connections, and to preserve mutual respect for one another. We seek to maintain the entrance and the pool. We sponsor community events, or we did prior to the new coronavirus. When the US CDC says that it is no longer a threat to public health and safety, we will begin holding community events again.
Our association is not an owners’ dispute mediator, complaint department, law enforcement agency, small claims court or “watch dog’ committee. We are not rule enforcers because we do not have the authority to enforce the subdivision covenants, AND that is not what we are about. However, we encourage everyone to treat each other with respect.
Our charter and bylaws were written by the developer of Flagstone Community Association almost 30 years ago. He set it up as a voluntary home owners association. If we want to change that, it will require a majority vote of all the homes in our subdivision. * (Not a majority of our membership number.) I invite you to join our association. General membership is $75 per year and pool memberships are $275 per year. (Early bird renewals cost less.) It is money well spent. Residents who join the association are also given access to our private Facebook page, Flagstone Community Association. This page is restricted to dues paying members who agree to follow the rules and answer the questions posted before an admin lets them join the page. Some advertising agency once said, “Membership has its privileges.” I also want to invite you to get involved. Leadership in our association is voluntary. We welcome volunteers.
The restrictions shall be in full force and effect for a thirty (30)
year period from date and thereafter for successive ten (TO) year
period, unless a majority of lot owners vote at the end of such period
to terminate or amend said restrictions.” (FCA charter, December,
